Did your AI just give you
a taken domain?
ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI models routinely suggest domains that are already taken — our live RDAP study found up to ~89% taken on the multi-model leaderboard, and worse in spot-checks. Paste the name it gave you — we check it live, right now.

Why this happens
A language model predicts a plausible-sounding name — it was never connected to the domain registry. Independent testing across major AI models found this pattern consistently:

FAQ
Why do I need to double-check a domain an AI gave me?
AI models predict plausible-sounding names — they are not connected to the domain registry. Our live RDAP study (3,329 suggestions) found availability as low as ~11% for some models; a July 2026 spot-check had 96/96 brandable names already taken.
How does this check work?
We query the domain live against the authoritative registry (RDAP) at the moment you check — the same live verification Domain Search King uses for every name in its generator.
What if the domain is taken?
We'll suggest real, currently-available alternatives built from the same keyword using our AI naming engine — verified live, not guessed. Or browse the 7 moves that fix it for the full playbook.
